Welcome to the 2025-2026 Rec Player Registration!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation and submit payment.  To complete registration through our secure site, please have your debit/credit or bank information available. Within the registration you can opt in to a payment plan if you choose.  This payment plan will consist of your initial deposit followed by equal payments that will be automatic withdrawals on the 1st of each month through February 2026 for the remaining balance.  (Example - if your initial deposit is made on May 25th, your first payment will then be deducted on June 1st)

When you choose to pay the season on a card SportsEngine charges a service charge of roughly 3.25%.  This percentage of the entire dollar amount will be added to the initial registration deposit.  

If you choose to avoid these fees you can do so by paying with either a check or cash.  If you choose to pay by cash or check the entire amount must be paid in full.  Once SJHA has received that payment in full you will be issued a code to login and complete your registration.

All girls wishing to play on a girls rec team at 8U, 10U, 12U or 14U levels please register for the season below and select the all-girls team option on the registration. The girls teams will play other girls team locally and possibly some exhibition games against coed teams. If any additional questions, please reach out to Girls Hockey Director (a.smyth-hammond.com)

REFUND POLICY

Registration Deposit: Non-Refundable (should the season not be able to be played at all, the registration deposit will be refunded less any outgoing costs such as jerseys, socks or any previously used ice.)

Players who choose to leave the Association at any time prior to the completion of the season after they have registered with SJHA or committed to the 2025-2026 season by way of initial payment are required to pay all funds in full before they will receive an unconditional release to play for the next association.

Refundable Situations:  Most refund scenarios will come in the form of a credit for the following season.  Upon the 1st day of each month a player is obligated to fulfill any payment associated with that month or the applicable portion of that payment period. 

Any player who would age out of the Association and unable to use a credit will be refunded directly

  • Season Ending Injury:  A doctors letter prohibiting that player from competing for the remainder of the hockey season will be required and that player will be eligible for a refund in the form of a credit for the following season less the tryout fee, initial deposit and any payment leading up to the point of injury and any fees associated with the month the player is currently competing in. 
  • Should a player request a release upon claim of season ending injury said release will not be issued prior to midnight of December 31st of the current season without full payment of all season fees and will no longer be eligible for a refund of any amount.
  • Short term injuries in which a player is eligible to play during the same season are not eligible for refunds
  • Any returned funds under this scenario will occur after December 31st of the current season
  • Act of God: (ie. Covid 19 Pandemic) Families will be eligible for a refund in the form of a credit for the following season less the Tryout Fee, Initial Deposit, any Payment leading up to the point of the season in which we are affected by this act and any fees associated with the month the player is currently competing in as well as any outstanding fees the association may have in which we are not eligible for refund on behalf of an individual player or team

8U Mite Mite Players (2019 & Under): $999.00 season fees
8U Mite Players (2017 & 2018): $1,410.00 season fees
10U Players (2015 & 2016): $1,410.00 season fees
12U Players (2013 & 2014): $1,780.00 season fees 
14U Players (2011 & 2012): $1,780.00 season fees
18U Players (2007 - 2010): $1,340.00 season fees

*18U Players will have 1 scheduled practice per week. There will also be 1 optional pick-up style ice session on Sundays*

There will also be a weekly pick-up style ice session each week
