2018 SJHA Beginner Hockey 1 and 2 - Winter Session

Welcome to the 2018 SJHA Beginner Hockey 1 and 2 - Winter Session Registration

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. 

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa or MasterCard information available.


USA Hockey Requirement

Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2018-2019 Season.

  • Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
  • Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.

Program Options

Hockey 1 - Learn to Skate

Saturday's @ Olympic  View Arena from 8:30 am - 9:30 am

December 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd

January 5th, No class 1/12, 19th & 26th

February 2nd - last class

Program Fee Hockey 1 - $175.00 w/o equipment, $215.00 with equipment rental

HOCKEY 1 - LEARN TO SKATE
Ages:  Youth 4 to 14 years
Prerequisite:  N/A (new skaters welcome)
Series Length:  8 Week Series one class a week

The focus and goal of Hockey 1 is to teach beginner ice skaters the fundamentals of ice skating. It’s important for these players to become comfortable on the ice, learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, use of edges and how to hold a stick before moving onto Hockey 2 – Learn to Play.  Proper skating techniques are the primary focus of the levels. Skaters will learn the necessary ice skating fundamentals to be successful in Hockey 2 Learn to Play

EQUIPMENT RENTAL INFO:

Rental equipment is available starting in September on Saturday's from 8 am - 11 am at Olympic View Ice Arena.  (Equipment Rental is at ice level North end of the rink) Coaches do not have access to rental equipment.

Gear available for rent consists of the following:

* Skates
* Helmet
* Shoulder Pads
* Elbow Pads
* Shin Guards
* Hockey Pants
* Gloves
* Equipment Bag

Additional personal equipment that is required, but not included with rental is:

* Hockey Socks
* Protective Cup
* Hockey Stick

These personal items are available for purchase at the Hockeywolf  Pro Shop located at Olympic  View Arena.

Hockey 2 - Learn to Play

Practices - Saturday @ Olympic View Arena from 9:30 am - 10:30 am

December 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd

January 5th, No class 1/12, 19th & 26th

February 2nd - last class

Cross-Ice Games – Sunday  at Lynnwood Ice Center (NO game 1/13)

January 6th @ 9:25 am - 10:25 am

January 20th @ 9:25 am - 10:25 am

January 27th @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

February 3rd @ 10:35 am - 11:35 am

Program Fee Hockey 2 - $240.00 w/o equipment, $280.00 with equipment rental

HOCKEY 2 - LEARN TO PLAY
Ages:  5-14
Prerequisite: Hockey 1 or basic skating ability
Series Length:  8 Week Series 1-2 classes a week

Hockey 2 is for players who have basic skating skills and are ready for more hockey.  Players are in FULL hockey gear for this class. Hockey 2 consists of small groups of players on the ice with similar skill levels. Hockey 2 follows the American Development Model guidelines which promote high activity through fun, station based practices and games.
